Due to the dynamic development of the company, we are looking for people for the following position:

Finance Director (as Deputy CFO)

Location: Warsaw

Finance Director (deputy CFO) plays a key role in supporting the Management Board and the CFO in managing the financial affairs of the organization. This position involves assisting in the development and implementation of financial strategies, overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of the company’s overall financial strategy.
  • Provide input on investment decisions, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.

Financial Strategy Support:

  • Collaborate with the Board, CFO and Head of Controlling in formulating and executing the organization’s financial strategy to achieve its short-term and long-term objectives.

Controlling

  • Establish and maintain effective controlling processes, including cost analysis and performance measurement.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights for operational efficiency.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present non-consolidated and consolidated financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in financial reporting.
  • Provide variance analysis and explanations for financial results.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage a team of finance professionals, including financial analysts and budget specialists.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Risk Management:

  • Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, including market risks, currency exchange risks, and interest rate risks.

Controlling and Compliance:

  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.

Cost Management:

  • Collaborate on cost-control initiatives and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.

Treasury Management

  • Manage cash flow, including forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
  • Monitor banking relationships and develop risk management strategies for foreign exchange, interest rates, and credit.

Accounting and Financial Operations

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory management.

Payroll Management

  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations, employment laws, and benefits administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
  • Over 10 years of experience in financial management and controlling roles.
  • Proven experience in budgeting and long-term financial planning.
  • Demonstrated expertise in preparing consolidated and non-consolidated financial reports.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong financial analysis, modeling, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Native proficiency in the Polish language; proficiency in English
